Translated strings can be specified in customization functions, for
@-commands without arguments (see Simple Customization for Commands Without Arguments), for direction strings (see Direction Strings Customization) and for specific elements headings such as footnotes,
contents or about (see Special Elements Information Customization).
Translated strings can also be inserted in the output in user-defined
customization functions, by using specific functions for internationalization
of strings, gdt
or pgdt
.
It is possible to customize the translated strings, in order to change the translations of the strings translated in the default case. If new translated strings are added, it is even required to use translated strings customization to add translations for the added strings.
See Internationalization of Document Strings in Texinfo for additional information on the default case.
