The local variables section is optional. It is currently used to give the encoding information and/or the document language code.
<local variables> = <separator> Local Variables: (coding: <encoding>)? (Info-documentlanguage: <language>)? End:
See @documentencoding enc
: Set Input Encoding for information about the document encoding.
‘<language>’ should be of the form ll or ll_cc; see
@documentlanguage ll[_cc]
: Set the Document Language. Only one language can be specified
in the local variables section even if @documentlanguage
occurs
several times in a Texinfo document.
