Introduction to Inetutils

Inetutils is a collection of common network programs. It includes:

Most of them are improved versions of programs originally from BSD. Some others are original versions, written from scratch.

Downloading Inetutils

Inetutils can be found on https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/inetutils/ [via HTTP] and ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/inetutils/ [via FTP]. It can also be found on one of our FTP mirrors.

Documentation

Complete documentation in TeXinfo format is included in the distribution. An online manual is available.

Mailing Lists/Newsgroups

Inetutils has one mailing list: <bug-inetutils@gnu.org>.

The main discussion list is <bug-inetutils@gnu.org>, and is used to discuss all aspects of Ineutils, including development and porting, and bug reports. For details on submitting a bug report, please see the section Report a Bug below.

Announcements about Inetutils and most other GNU Software are made on <info-gnu@gnu.org>.

To subscribe to these GNU mailing lists, please send an empty mail with a Subject: header line of just "subscribe" to the relevant -request list. For example, to subscribe yourself to the main list for Inetutils, you would send mail to <bug-inetutils-request@gnu.org> with no body and a Subject: header line of just "subscribe".
